Victoria Lee MDIV. MM. BM

A native of Malaysia, Victoria began teaching piano at the age of 13 after earning her Associate Diploma in Piano from Trinity College of London (equivalent to an American associate degree) and her ABRSM certification from the Royal Schools of Music, London-one of the world’s prestigious conservatories. At 19, she received a scholarship to attend Oklahoma City University, where she studied under the renowned piano teacher Ernestine Scott. Their close mentoring relationship began in her very first lesson when Ernestine was captivated by Victoria’s expressive interpretation of classical masterpieces, inspired by the vibrant landscapes and the rhythm of her birthplace, the Borneo Island. Recognizing her talent, Ernestine provided Victoria with numerous opportunities to perform and compete, including a full-house performance of Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Oklahoma City University Orchestra. Victoria earned both her B.A. and M.A. in Piano Performance in just four years and has been a professional member of the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association for over 30 years.

Victoria served as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University for three years and Mid-America Bible College for one year. She also served as an accompanist for numerous choirs. For a decade, she directed the piano departments of Brook Mays Music Company, Sherman Clay Music Company, and Larsen Music, specializing in Yamaha group and private lessons. In 1995, she established her private piano studio, where she has since mentored over hundreds of students, many of whom have won prestigious piano competitions and received top honors in district and state auditions.

Music has been the heartbeat of Victoria’s life since childhood. She began playing piano for children’s Sunday school at her father’s church at age 7 and directed the youth choir from age 12 to 18. During college, she founded a touring International Student Christian Choir, performing across Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Texas. Actively involved in church ministry, she has led Choirs, Praise Bands, Christmas Musical, Children, and Youth at various ministries for over 40 years. After completing her Master of Divinity, Victoria was appointed as an ordained Elder at Charis Alive.

Beyond music, Victoria is actively engaged in community service. She founded the first Asian Cultural Camp in Oklahoma City, Charis Camp, along with other initiatives such as Charis Academy (Mandarin school), Mission to the Homeless, Meet•Me•Mom, Charis Life Group, and Wesley English Class.

Victoria and her husband, Charles, have been married for over 25 years and have two sons, Gabriel and Michael. She enjoys traveling, cooking, event planning, and spending time with family and friends.
